We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.)

We bought The Sweden 45 in 2009 in Palma, Majorca, and sailed her to Lefkas in Greece, which became her home. On the way we came through a number of Autumn storms, which proved her seaworthiness and comfort at sea.

Since then she has had relatively light use - we have taken her to Corfu twice and to Albania, but in the main she has been cruising the local Ionian waters and has been a very comfortable boat to live aboard, with her large shower up forward and her well thought-out galley, plus large water capacity. Fuel capacity has never been a problem since she will slip along effectively in the lightest of breezes.

On that note, I should mention that we took line honours in the Ionian Regatta in 2014, with corrected position of 3rd out of 180 boats starting that year. So long as there is a breeze she will sail, and with her large wheel and deep spade rudder she is a very satisfying and rewarding boat to sail. This was the only racing she has done in our ownership and it is a fun day out rather than serious racing ( with a few exceptions! ). Subsequent regattas have all been in conditions that favoured the ultralights.

So we are very reluctantly selling our Sweden Yacht and hope her new owners will enjoy and love her as we have.
