This 13m steel bluewater yacht launched in 2004 and was built in England to a high standard. Designed for long-distance cruising and comfortable liveaboard life, she combines strength, practicality and offshore capability. VAT has been paid, and she is currently lying in Kissamos, Crete.
Her white-painted steel hull, deck and pilothouse create a robust and easily maintained cruising platform. Meanwhile, the centre cockpit and skeg-hung rudder provide excellent protection and predictable handling at sea. Only two careful owners have maintained and upgraded the yacht since launch.
A reliable 65hp Peugeot diesel engine provides propulsion through a reconditioned Thamesway hydraulic gearbox. In addition, a Vetus bow thruster improves manoeuvrability in confined spaces. Six solar panels, a wind generator, a 2000W inverter and a shore-power charging system support extended periods away from the dock. As a result, the yacht offers excellent energy independence.
The cutter rig features a Z Spars furling mast installed in 2009, roller-furling headsails and quality winches throughout. Furthermore, a Simrad autopilot with hydraulic drive supports short-handed sailing, while all control lines lead aft to the cockpit for safe and convenient sail handling.
Below deck, the accommodation is practical and comfortable. She sleeps six in two cabins plus convertible saloon berths. The aft owner’s cabin features an island double berth, while the forward cabin sits adjacent to a separate heads compartment with shower. The raised deck saloon includes a compact galley with a three-burner hob, gas oven, dual fridge-freezers, microwave and pressurised hot water system. Diesel and electric heating also extend the cruising season.
