This 2015 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 509 is a proven offshore cruiser with spacious accommodation and an impressive cruising specification. DIANA has been privately used during the current owners’ six-year ownership and completed a transatlantic passage in 2026. She currently lies afloat at Marina San Miguel, Tenerife.
During 2026, DIANA sailed from Saint Martin via the Azores and Madeira to the Canary Islands. The owners recorded approximately 4,000 nautical miles during the year. A Yanmar 75hp diesel engine provides dependable propulsion, while a Side-Power bow thruster assists with manoeuvring.
For extended cruising, she carries a 600Ah LiFePO4 domestic bank and 800W solar array. In addition, a Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/charger supports excellent energy independence. Raymarine navigation equipment, Starlink Mini and Garmin inReach Mini 2 further enhance her offshore capability. Under sail, three electric Harken winches simplify handling. The sail wardrobe includes a slab-reefing mainsail, furling genoa and 2025 asymmetric spinnaker.
Below deck, four double cabins each benefit from a private head and shower. A separate forward skipper cabin adds further flexibility, while four custom-made orthopaedic mattresses were fitted in 2026.
This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 509 combines proven passage-making ability, comfortable accommodation and strong onboard independence. EU VAT is not paid, and viewings can normally be arranged at short notice in Tenerife.
