1984 Kalik 44 | Gary Mull-designed Cruising Yacht
COOKY is a Belgian-built Kalik 44, designed by Gary Mull and built by Jachtwerf Vennekens, combining classic lines and a cutter rig with the space and character for extended cruising. Her inventory includes a Yanmar 4JH3E 56HP diesel, shaft drive with a feathering propeller, solar charging, Victron charging and monitoring equipment, radar, AIS and a below-deck autopilot. She is offered at €79,500.
Below decks, teak joinery gives the interior a warm, traditional feel. An aft owner’s cabin with a queen-size double berth, a separate forward double cabin, two heads and a dedicated navigation station provide a practical arrangement for a cruising couple with guests. The saloon and galley support longer stays aboard, complemented by approximately 500 litres of fresh water capacity, a gas cooker and top-opening refrigerator.
The owner reports cruising from the Netherlands throughout the Mediterranean, together with a Seldén rig modernisation in 2007 and standing-rigging renewal in 2017. The supplied engine maintenance log runs from 2010 to September 2026, with recent entries for impeller replacement, engine and gearbox oil changes and a fuel-line hand pump. The October 2026 Listing Form records 2,567 engine hours. A portable Honda EU10i generator, Zodiac tender and Mercury 6HP outboard add to the listed cruising equipment.
COOKY offers an appealing starting point for a buyer seeking a substantial cruising yacht with traditional character and scope for further improvement. The teak decking requires attention, and the owner reports historic localised osmosis treatment; these points are detailed in the Comments below and should be considered during viewing and survey. She is currently ashore at Dimstef, Orei, on the Greek island of Evia, with viewings by prior appointment.

Comments
The following condition observations and past works are taken from the owner’s statements and supplied records rather than an independent inspection. Dates, operation and condition should be checked during viewing and survey.
Hull and teak deck — The owner advises that the main teak deck needs sanding and re-caulking. Remaining teak thickness and substrate condition are for survey. He also reports past localised osmosis treatment below the waterline and says no new blisters are presently visible to him; this has not been independently checked.
Machinery and deck works — The owner’s brochure reports a shaft-seal renewal and diesel-tank cleaning in 2025, a windlass-motor replacement around 2019 and replacement timber on the aft bathing platform in 2025. Supporting invoices have not been reviewed.
Rig and sails — The owner dates the Seldén rig modernisation to 2007 and standing-rigging renewal to 2017. He advises that the 2007 Lee Sails have been professionally inspected and repaired where needed, and that halyards have been renewed; supporting invoices and inspection reports are not verified.
Accommodation and domestic equipment — The owner rates the headlining as fair and gives headroom as approximately 2 m. He describes the Dometic cooker and low-energy refrigerator plant as recent. His listing form gives three cabins and eight berths; the precise layout and the age of domestic improvements are still to be confirmed.
Other particulars — The seller describes the keel ballast as encapsulated iron. House-battery ages differ between the owner’s records; their age and capacity should be checked. The stated capacities and equipment particulars remain subject to inspection and any supporting records.
Title Documents and Tax
Historic 2007 purchase documents and the seller describe VAT as paid; independent present VAT/customs evidence and the current ownership chain remain under review. Current sole selling authority requires confirmation. The 2025–2027 ICP held is not proof of title or entitlement to the Netherlands flag.
