We bought our Hallberg Rassy 41 (vintage 1978) in 2005 from Williams and Smithells, in Greece. We have sailed the Ionian for 20 years and decided in May, for various reasons, that it was time to sell up. Of course we contacted W&S first to discuss a potential sale 21 years later.
Stephen came along to view, talked through options, came back to take photographs and suggest a price to attract a buyer.
The listing came live early June and to our surprise a potential buyer flew in to view mid July, and made an offer which we accepted.
To complicate matters we had flown back to the UK for July and August, but the contract was written up in the UK and all signatories signed electronically…very efficiently.
We returned to Lefkas to clear the boat before having a sea trial. Stephen accompanied us and was very helpful, and the sale was concluded.
The subsequent paperwork was produced quickly by Mark in the UK and both parties liaised with W&S in Lefkas and the UK. All proceeded efficiently and professionally.
Alexandra in Lefkas was very helpful when Stephen was out of the office.
We are very thankful to the whole team for concluding the sale so quickly and painlessly.
