Before contacting Williams & Smithells to make a general enquiry about our yacht (Hallberg Rassy 382), we had contacted 2  brokers in the Adriatic, they never replied.

On arriving in Greece, Stephen from W&S came to see us and the boat. He was very professional and easy to chat too. We were at this stage undecided as what to do about our boat – keep or sell.

Stephen put us under no pressure and greatly helped us to make up our mind and put the boat up for sale, November 2012.

The process, photographs, details and marketing were very good. The price W&S recommending seemed fair. Over the next six months, Winter, there were some viewings, but no offers. In the Spring of 2013 I asked W&S if they were still confident about the price and they suggested that the market would require us to drop the price, which we did.

We then had some interest and by the end of May 2013 had accepted an offer. The sale from then to handover was excellent, W&S handled everything, dealt with the buyer, money, paperwork. I would recommend W&S to anyone.

Our dealings with Williams & Smithells began in 2005 when we arrange to visit a Westerly which was for sale in Lefkada Greece.  At that time my wife and and I flew into Preveza and took up residence in a local hotel based in Lefkda, all arrangements made by Williams & Smithells.  We had a full agenda which arranged, to visit numerous yachts.  The end of the week saw a successful purchase  which we we’re delighted with.

Moving on to the present, we decided  to sell  and had no hesitation in contacting Williams and Smithells once again.  Again in dealing with Williams and Smithells the instruction to sell  was dealt with in a professional manner and at no time during the selling period did we feel out of touch with Williams and Smithells. The advertising and promotion of our sale was well managed and produced numerous inquiries, one off which suited all parties and our yacht was sold.
